Philadelphia Marathon teams up to fight cancer

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Marathon has a new partnership with the American Association for Cancer Research.

The group's executive director expects to make this race the largest run in the U.S. dedicated to finding new treatments.

Mayor Jim Kenney helped announce the 3 year collaboration Tuesday at Independence Hall.

Tens of thousands of competitors are expected to take part in the upcoming marathon on November 19th.
